In particular, the event is attracting great attention as it was organized by Haenam-gun, which has been promoting a clean environment (E) as a key administrative policy through Haenam-type ESG, to share achievements with all residents and explore development directions together.

The event will commemorate Resource Circulation Day with an awards ceremony for meritorious persons, presentations on Haenam-type ESG and resource circulation projects, and operate 27 exchange, exhibition, promotion, and experience booths related to resource circulation throughout the Gunmin Square.

At the resource circulation institution and organization booths, visitors can easily and enjoyably experience resource circulation through activities such as △carbon neutrality practice missions △Anabada market and barter exchange △making zero-waste products like EM kitchen detergent and shampoo bars △experiencing and exhibiting upcycled products using can art, waste wood, and coffee boxes △a resource circulation practice play festival.

Additionally, programs for children will be provided, including separation and disposal experiences and various quiz games, so that they can naturally learn the value of resource circulation from an early age and learn proper separation and disposal methods.

Individuals who bring reusable cups can receive free beverages, and they can earn dessert exchange coupons through experiences to use at the event.

Haenam-gun is conducting this event with minimal use of disposable products, producing materials using recycled items such as cardboard or cloth instead of banners, making them reusable for future events.

County Governor Myeong Hyun-gwan said, “To mark Resource Circulation Day, we have prepared various exhibitions and experiential activities to make related content easy and fun to access. I hope residents participate in the event to develop their own habits of practicing resource circulation and carbon neutrality while creating meaningful memories.”
