Kim Tae-woo, Former Seoul Gangseo-gu Mayor, Registers as Preliminary Candidate

Kim Tae-woo, Former Seoul Gangseo-gu Mayor, Registers as Preliminary Candidate

Former Gangseo District Chief Kim Tae-woo registered as a preliminary candidate for the Seoul Gangseo District Chief election to be held on October 11.

On the 18th at around 5 p.m., Kim announced on his Facebook, "Kim Tae-woo has registered as a preliminary candidate for Gangseo District Chief."

Kim criticized that in this Gangseo District Chief by-election, the Democratic Party has been reported in the media to have candidates with disgraceful criminal records such as "drunk driving," "gambling," and "bribery solicitation." He pointed out that because the Democratic Party has monopolized the Gangseo District Chief position for 16 years, unqualified candidates are emerging.

He also claimed that the party that should not field a candidate is the "Money Envelope Democratic Party."

He emphasized again that the party that should not field a candidate in the Gangseo District Chief by-election is not the People Power Party but the Democratic Party, citing that during the last Gangseo District Chief election, the Democratic Party candidate side was recently convicted in the first trial for systematically distributing money envelopes as part of pre-election campaigning.

He added, "I, Kim Tae-woo, will stop the 20 years of Democratic Party's autocratic district administration and make Gangseo work again," and stated, "Kim Tae-woo, the problem solver, has returned to Gangseo."

He claimed that Kim Tae-woo is the only candidate who can start working immediately from the day of the election without any administrative gap.
