Seoul City Expands Implementation of 'Psychological Support Project'

'Seoul Citizens' Mind-Grabbing Project' in Progress

Seoul City is launching a new psychological support project called ‘Seoul Citizens Ma-eumjapgo’ this year to help Seoul residents achieve work-life balance and daily recovery, addressing concerns such as anxiety among employees returning from parental leave, workplace adaptation for young workers, and enhancing organizational communication within companies.

The Seoul Foundation of Women and Family announced on the 18th that it will strengthen the ‘Seoul Citizens Ma-eumjapgo Project’ and implement Project 2.0 for about two months starting in August this year.

Citizens who wish to participate in the ‘Ma-eumjapgo Project’ can visit the website to conduct a self-assessment of their mental state and then join customized programs. The self-assessment measures job stress for employed individuals, and for those not currently employed, it measures social psychological stress indices.

The programs include group workshops tailored to specific target groups, which received high interest and satisfaction from participants last year, as well as one-on-one online and offline psychological counseling. These aim to enhance the physical and mental resilience of Seoul citizens, strengthen job competencies, and support mental recovery.

Jung Young-jeong, CEO of the Seoul Foundation of Women and Family, stated, “We have prepared ‘Seoul Citizens Ma-eumjapgo Project 2.0’ to help career-holding women, caregivers, and young workers overcome stress arising from daily life and the workplace, and to improve their physical and mental resilience.” She added, “We want to offer various programs that anyone in Seoul can participate in, from group workshops where many can join together to psychological counseling where individuals can share their deepest concerns, to help improve work, life, and caregiving.”
