The support targets are basic living medical aid recipients and near-poverty self-pay reduction recipients aged 65 or older residing in Sunchang-gun, and applications are accepted until the budget is exhausted.

Applications must be submitted in person at the Sunchang-gun Health and Medical Center, and after applying for support, recipients can freely choose from six contracted dental clinics in the area to receive treatment.

However, those who have previously received elderly denture treatment support from the medical center, those who have received medical aid or health insurance coverage at a dental clinic within the past seven years, or those who have been judged ineligible for dentures after an oral examination are excluded from eligibility.

Jo Seok-beom, director of the Health and Medical Center, said, “We will actively strive to help low-income elderly people who have difficulty eating due to tooth loss receive denture cost support, restore oral function, and lead healthy lives.”
