On the 17th, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy and Finance Choo Kyung-ho stated, "As signs of recovery appear, such as the slowdown in the decline of exports, it is necessary to strengthen inter-ministerial export support capabilities for a full-fledged rebound," adding, "We will supplement structural export measures and boldly reform regulations that hinder investment."

On the same day, Deputy Prime Minister Choo made these remarks at the 'Emergency Economic Ministers' Meeting and Export Investment Measures Meeting' held at the Government Seoul Office. He said, "The government will closely examine export conditions by major industries, further expand support for trade finance, marketing, and overseas certification, and supplement structural export measures such as diversification of items and regions, which are being promoted in various ways, while seeking additional support measures."

He continued, "We will also strengthen policy support efforts to drastically improve the corporate investment environment by boldly reforming regulations that hinder investment and easing entry barriers to new industries."

Tourism programs will also be promptly developed following China's resumption of group tours to Korea. He said, "We will swiftly prepare and promote measures to enhance entry conveniences such as visas and transportation, develop various tourism programs, and expand the attraction of tourists from East China." China lifted the ban on Korean group tours, which had been in place since March 2017 as a retaliatory measure against the deployment of THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense). With this measure, Korea can now receive Chinese group tourists for the first time in over six years.
