Introducing New World Wines such as Bread and Butter and Carmen
Hosted by Asia Economy, the '2023 Global Wine and Food Trip' will be held on August 25-26 at the Floating Island on Sebitseom in Seocho-gu, Seoul. Major domestic wine importers and food companies will participate, providing an opportunity to taste various regional wines and enjoy food pairings. Lotte Chilsung Beverage will participate in this Global Wine and Food Trip, focusing on New World wines from the United States and Chile.
Lotte Chilsung Beverage 'Bread and Butter Chardonnay'
The flagship product is the United States’ ‘Bread & Butter Chardonnay.’ Bread & Butter Chardonnay features a well-balanced aroma of soft minerals and tropical fruits such as banana and pineapple, with a moderate body and smooth acidity that leave a strong impression. Notably, it has a savory butter scent reminiscent of movie theater popcorn and a luxurious almond blossom fragrance. It pairs especially well with steamed fish, butter-seared scallops, oven-roasted chicken dishes, and cream pasta.
Rooted in California, Bread & Butter aims for simple, honest, and good wines. Winemaker Linda Trotta focuses on creating delicious wines that capture the characteristics of the grape varieties while being easy for anyone to enjoy. Bread & Butter was awarded the 'Hot Brand Award Winner' for five consecutive years until last year.
Also featured is Chile’s Colchagua Valley 'Carmen Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon.' Carmen Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon is an attractive wine with aromas of black currant, sweet spices, cocoa, and espresso. It is especially noted for its excellent balance of red fruit flavors and a long-lasting finish. It pairs well with various red meat dishes and grilled poultry.
Founded in 1850, Carmen Winery is a pioneer of premium Chilean wines, holding numerous 'firsts' such as producing Chile’s first organic wine and the first Carm?n?re wine. The Gran Reserva is Carmen’s premium range, with all wines made from hand-harvested grapes. In particular, the Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon can be aged for 6 to 7 years.
