August 17-19 at BEXCO: International Welfare Rehabilitation Senior Exhibition, International Anti-Aging Expo, Cosmetics Beauty Festival
148 Companies from 6 Countries Operating 380 Booths, Product Exhibitions, Experiences, Forums, Seminars, Lecture
Busan City is embarking on the development of welfare rehabilitation, anti-aging, and the beauty industry, as well as pioneering consumer markets.
Busan City will hold the "2023 Global Healthcare Week" from August 17 to 19 at BEXCO Exhibition Hall 1.
This event is a comprehensive healthcare exhibition and experience event that integrates three exhibitions: the 15th International Welfare Rehabilitation Senior Exhibition, the 10th Busan International Anti-Aging Expo, and the 2023 Busan Cosmetics Beauty Festival.
Now in its 6th year, this year's event is hosted by Busan City and organized by BEXCO and Busan Technopark, with support from the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Korea Health Industry Development Institute, and the National Rehabilitation Center.
The opening ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on the first day of the event, August 17, with about 20 distinguished guests including Lee Seong-gwon, Deputy Mayor for Economic Affairs, Kim Gwang-myeong, Chair of the Planning and Finance Committee of the Busan City Council, Kang Yoon-gyu, Director of the National Rehabilitation Center, and Jeong Seong-woon, Director of Busan National University Hospital. The ceremony will include awards for contributors to the development of the senior-friendly bioindustry and a ribbon-cutting.
This year’s event will feature not only product exhibitions and experiences in the healthcare field but also a larger number of participating companies and institutions compared to previous years, offering diverse and rich programs.
The number of participating companies and institutions this year increased by 28% compared to last year's 115, with 148 companies operating 380 booths. Government agencies such as the National Rehabilitation Center, Korea Health Industry Development Institute, and Sunmoon University, as well as institutions from other regions, will also participate and conduct various programs.
Various professional conferences, including rehabilitation research seminars and the Busan Beauty Cosmetics Industry Development Forum, will be held.
In particular, the newly established planned program "Meeting the Experts" is a health lecture combining special lectures by local medical experts on disease prevention and treatment with musical performances. It will be held 11 times in total, targeting the general public with different lecture topics.
By sector, ▲ in the welfare rehabilitation field, 48 institutions including Core Movement will participate with senior-friendly products and welfare rehabilitation and medical devices, operating various exhibition booths.
Also, the "Rehabilitation Research Seminar," introducing the latest rehabilitation and healthcare technologies and service research, will be held under the auspices of the National Rehabilitation Center.
▲ In the anti-aging field, 53 institutions including Daeyang Bio Lab will operate exhibition booths, and ▲ in the cosmetics and beauty field, 32 institutions including Amaranth will operate exhibition booths.
The Busan Beauty Cosmetics Industry Development Forum will also be held.
This event will also host an "Online Export Consultation" and a "Domestic Distribution Consultation," connecting more than 30 buyers from six overseas countries including the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with domestic companies, supporting companies in pioneering sales channels.
Twenty-five anti-aging product companies and 20 cosmetics and beauty companies will participate.
As a side event, "Middle-aged and Senior Job Seeking Day" will be held, with 15 institutions participating to operate "On-site Interviews with Hiring Companies" and "Employment Support Promotion Booths."
Lee Kyung-deok, Director of the Future Industry Bureau of Busan City, said, "Welfare rehabilitation, anti-aging, and the beauty industry are fields where Busan can have global competitiveness. We hope that the Global Healthcare Week exhibition, now in its 6th year, will lead to substantial sales increases for participating companies and revitalize the local economy." He added, "We will continue to make multifaceted efforts to promote excellent products of local companies and help them pioneer sales channels."
