On the 14th, Damyang-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it conducted a mobile agricultural machinery repair service to facilitate farming for farmers in remote villages during the off-season.
The Agricultural Technology Center's Agricultural Machinery Rental Office visits remote villages where it is difficult to repair agricultural machinery due to the distance from repair shops, and repairs small agricultural machines.
In addition, safety education on safe use of agricultural machinery and post-management methods is conducted annually to prevent accidents during farming operations.
This mobile repair service targeted six villages in Yong-myeon, providing machinery collection and safety education.
As a result, 49 agricultural machines (such as mowers, chainsaws, and sprayers) were repaired and maintained, and safety education was provided to 53 farmers.
A county official stated, “Through this mobile agricultural machinery repair service, we expect to alleviate inconveniences for farmers living in remote villages, reduce farm management costs, and provide practical help for timely use of agricultural machinery. We will continue to promote mobile repair services to ease the difficulties farmers face in using agricultural machinery.”
