Talented youth from across the country, showcasing singing, dancing, and performances, will gather for an exciting playground event this September in Nam-gu, Gwangju.

Nam-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City, announced on the 14th that it will hold the 'Youth Gather GO Enjoy GO Show GO' competition on the 23rd of next month at Yuan Neighborhood Park in Bongseon-dong.


This competition is a stage to meet the dreams, passion, and hidden talents of youth, and it is being held for the first time this year to provide an opportunity for young people, tired from their studies, to express their talents.


Nam-gu will conduct a preliminary round through online submission of performance videos until the 25th, ahead of the final stage.


The competition is open to youth nationwide aged 9 to 24, and both individuals and groups can participate.


The recruitment fields include singing and dancing, including instrumental performances and other performances.


Youth wishing to participate in the competition must submit an application form along with a preliminary screening video by email by the 25th, and then call the Nam-gu Office’s Child and Youth Division to confirm their participation.


The preliminary screening video should be within 5 minutes per team, including a 1-minute video introducing the team and a 4-minute video for the competition performance.


The video must be filmed from the front, showing all team members, and only videos recorded after the announcement date of August 7 will be accepted.


Also, no images or text may be arbitrarily inserted into the performance video through editing.


Nam-gu will select 20 teams to advance to the final stage through the preliminary round, and the final competition will be held on the 23rd of next month to select one grand prize winner, two excellence award winners, two merit award winners, and two encouragement award winners.


The grand prize, excellence, merit, and encouragement award-winning teams will receive prize money of 1,000,000 KRW, 700,000 KRW, 500,000 KRW, and 300,000 KRW respectively, along with certificates.


A Nam-gu official stated, "We will make this an unlimited festival where talented youth from various fields across the country can express their talents and enjoy freely together with local youth and members of all generations."
