Two Wins Only in Jeju Island Following Opening Match

Last year's Rookie of the Year, Lee Ye-won, delivered another victory report from Jeju Island.
On the 13th, at the final 3rd round of the Doosan Construction Weave Championship (total prize money 1.2 billion KRW) of the Korea Ladies Professional Golf Association (KLPGA) Tour held at Teddy Valley Golf & Resort (par 72, 6,735 yards) in Seogwipo City, Jeju Island, she shot 4 under par to tie with Kim Min-seon7 at 10 under par 206 strokes, then secured the championship birdie on the first hole of the playoff at the 18th hole (par 4). This marked her second career win, four months after the Lotte Rent-a-Car Ladies Open held in Jeju last April, with a winner's prize of 216 million KRW.

Lee Ye-won started from a tie for 6th place, 3 strokes behind, and collected 5 birdies (1 bogey). She reduced 2 strokes in the front nine with birdies on the 5th and 8th holes, then dominated the leaderboard in the back nine with consecutive birdies on the 11th and 12th holes and another birdie on the 16th hole (par 4). She made a bogey on the 17th hole (par 3) after sending her tee shot into the rough. In the playoff, she cheered after sinking a 6-meter birdie putt. She surpassed 700 million KRW (725,924,197 KRW) in earnings for the first time this season, rising to first place in the prize money rankings.
Rookie Kim Min-seon7 achieved her best result of the season with a runner-up finish, marking her second top 10 placement. Strong rookie of the year candidate Kim Min-byeol surged to 3rd place (9 under par 207 strokes) with a 7 under par round. Park Hyun-kyung, who started as the leader by 1 stroke, fell to a tie for 4th place (8 under par 208 strokes) after shooting 1 over par. Lim Jin-hee and Jeon Ye-seong tied for 4th place, while Park Ji-young and Choi Min-kyung tied for 7th place (7 under par 209 strokes). National team ace Kim Min-sol performed well, reducing 4 strokes to finish tied for 9th place (6 under par 210 strokes).
