On the 12th, Lotte Duty Free hosted a fan invitation event titled "Lotte Duty Free Fan Event with Super Junior" at the Roun Atrium Art Hall in Yangcheon-gu, Seoul. Super Junior has been the longest-standing model with Lotte Duty Free since 2013, contributing to enhancing the brand value of Lotte Duty Free by participating in major events such as the Lotte Duty Free Family Concert and the opening ceremony of the Hanoi Airport branch.
This event is the second global fan invitation event organized by Lotte Duty Free this year, following the TWICE fan meeting held in February. It was prepared to provide diverse experiences along with duty-free shopping as the number of Japanese customers visiting Lotte Duty Free has increased. In fact, sales from Japanese customers in the second quarter rose approximately 57% compared to the first quarter.
For this event, Lotte Duty Free collaborated with domestic and international travel agencies to directly attract Japanese tourists. Before participating in the fan event, they visited Lotte Duty Free’s Myeongdong main store and World Tower branch to enjoy duty-free shopping, showing particular interest in Korean cosmetics and fashion brands.
At the fan event, Super Junior performed hit songs such as "Devil," "Callin’," and "House Party." Various programs including a talk session and games with the members lasted about two hours amid cheers from Japanese fans. Additionally, commemorative gifts were given to fans, and group photos were taken to enhance fan satisfaction.
No Jae-seung, Head of Marketing at Lotte Duty Free, said, “Lotte Duty Free holds various K-content events such as fan meetings and concerts to attract tourists,” adding, “We will continue marketing activities linking duty-free shopping and tourism to provide special experiences for customers visiting Korea.”
