Boseong-gun Supports On-Site Workers with Heat Illness Prevention Supplies

Ice Vest, Saline Glucose, Ice Water, Cooling Scarf, etc.

Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 10th that it has provided cooling supplies to outdoor and field workers to prevent heat-related illnesses caused by the ongoing heatwave.

This supply support was provided to about 40 resource circulation workers responsible for the Environmental Resources Office, the Living Resources Recovery Center, and the Food Waste Collection Team.

The distributed items include ▲ice vests, ▲oral rehydration salts, ▲ice water (bottled water), and ▲ice necklaces (cooling scarves). Additionally, workers were encouraged to take sufficient breaks in safe places that block sunlight and allow ventilation.

A Boseong-gun official stated, “We will do our best to ease the hardships of workers who silently endure for the citizens and local living environment during the heatwave. We will also make every effort to prevent heat-related illnesses among all workers through proactive prevention.”

Meanwhile, as part of the ‘Be Careful with Your Hands Sticker’ initiative for county administration development proposals, Boseong-gun plans to distribute stickers to residents to prevent industrial safety accidents during garbage collection and promote attaching the stickers to volume-based waste bags.
