The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency stated on the day, "We will fully mobilize personnel and equipment for safety management at the venue to support the successful hosting of the event."
The police plan to deploy about 2,500 members from 43 riot police units to manage the crowd at the venue and will position 11 lighting vehicles considering that the event will end at night. Additionally, 70 police officers proficient in foreign languages will be separately assigned to prepare for unexpected situations involving foreigners, such as incidents or accidents.
Along with this, 412 traffic police officers and 30 patrol cars will be deployed to control traffic around the venue and manage traffic in boarding and alighting zones. The police will begin traffic control around Seoul World Cup Stadium from 2 p.m. on the day.
Accordingly, until the event ends, vehicle traffic in both directions will be restricted between Guryong Intersection and World Cup Stadium Intersection. Traffic control will be flexibly implemented between Stadium Intersection and Nongsusan Intersection, Nanji IC, and Sangam Intersection considering traffic volume, and vehicles entering and exiting via Gangbyeonbuk-ro will be directed to use the World Cup Underground Road.
