Oh Eon-seok, Dobong-gu Mayor, Conducts On-Site Inspection of Flood-Prone Areas Including Banghakcheon Stream on the Evening of the 10th
On the evening of the 10th at 8 PM, Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, held an emergency countermeasure meeting chaired by himself as Typhoon No. 6 'Khanun' approached Seoul. He received reports on typhoon preparedness from each department through the Disaster Safety Countermeasures Headquarters.
Mayor Oh instructed, "Before the typhoon directly impacts, recheck the inspection of facilities and the safety of residents vulnerable to disasters, and promptly address any uncompleted measures." He further emphasized, "We will maintain a 24-hour emergency system prioritizing the safety of residents and make every effort to prevent damage."
Afterwards, Mayor Oh visited flood-prone areas including Banghakcheon Stream, which is at risk of overflowing, to conduct on-site inspections. (Photo) On the 9th, he visited the Darakwon rainwater pumping station to closely examine facilities such as drainage pumps.
Meanwhile, on the same day, Dobong-gu implemented Level 1 emergency duty for all employees starting at 7 AM and maintained a 24-hour emergency system, focusing all efforts on preventing casualties and emergency recovery.
