A female passenger who demanded a taxi driver to touch her leg, claiming she was not a "kkotbaem" (gold digger), has been booked on charges of sexual assault.
The Yeosu Police Station in Jeollanam-do announced on the 10th that they have booked and are investigating a woman in her 20s, identified as A, on charges including sexual assault.
A is accused of sexually assaulting taxi driver B after boarding a taxi in Hakdong, Yeosu City, around 1:30 a.m. on May 24.
According to the police investigation, A grabbed taxi driver B's arm and pulled it toward her thigh, demanding that he touch her while they were on the way to her destination in Ungcheon-dong, Yeosu City.
During this incident, A also demanded that the taxi's black box be turned off and struggled with taxi driver B for about 10 minutes before getting off the vehicle.
Taxi driver B filed a complaint with the police, claiming he was sexually assaulted.
The police analyzed CCTV footage around the location where passenger A got off to confirm her identity.
