Since the 7th, the Jeonnam Headquarters has entered a 24-hour emergency duty system in preparation for 'Khanun.' They are conducting pre-release of water to control reservoir levels, inspecting the operation status of drainage pumps, and managing personnel to ensure there are no gaps in operation.

They have also been continuously securing temporary structures and materials at project sites firmly in preparation for strong winds.

During the inspection, Assemblyman Shin urged, "Please make efforts to prevent flood damage by conducting pre-inspections and establishing temporary emergency measures to ensure the drainage pumps operate smoothly." He added, "Please carefully monitor to prevent consecutive flood damages and do your best to protect citizens' property and lives."

He also stated, "As the pace of climate change accelerates, the frequency of existing hydraulic facility standards has reached a critical point, making the Corporation's role very important. Along with facility management, it is necessary to focus on preventing safety accidents and to establish a facility system based on strengthened standards."

In response, Director Cho Young-ho said, "Since the typhoon was forecasted on the 7th, we have conducted pre-inspections such as checking the operation status of drainage pumps, pre-maintenance of drainage facilities, and reservoir water level management centered on the Disaster Safety Situation Room for proactive response." He added, "We will strengthen monitoring activities and maintain an organic cooperation system with local governments to ensure safety and minimize typhoon damage."
