South American Ecuadorian and South Pacific Fiji Jamboree members visited the Youth Training Center in Gwanchon-myeon, Imsil-gun, Jeollabuk-do on the 8th.
According to the county on the 9th, County Governor Sim Min warmly welcomed the foreign members visiting the county, personally checking if there were any inconveniences or safety issues while having breakfast together on the day of admission and the following morning.

At the welcoming ceremony, Governor Sim introduced, “The county is known as the cheese capital of South Korea. Father Jeong Jihwan from Belgium started making cheese with two goats in 1964, and today, it is home to Imsil N Cheese, the best cheese brand in South Korea.”
He added, “I hope everyone who has come to the county enjoys their stay and takes many good memories with them.”
Governor Sim offered snacks such as pizza made with Imsil cheese, a representative specialty of Imsil-gun, conveying his warm and sincere heart.
From the day of admission, the county organized a welcoming ceremony, a Nanta performance, and recreational activities, receiving great responses and creating a lively dance party.
After breakfast that day, a modest event was held where the participants expressed their gratitude to Imsil-gun. All the scouts gathered to thank Governor Sim Min, put scarves on him personally, and exchanged souvenirs from Ecuador and Fiji, responding to Imsil-gun’s warm hospitality and welcome.
Mr. Fani Morales, the leader of the Ecuadorian members participating in the jamboree, said, “The heat in Saemangeum was not a big problem for us. We enjoyed ourselves there, and we are having a very happy time here as well.”
The members held a mini jamboree event in Buan that day, and on the 10th, they plan to experience comprehensive disaster simulations and crisis escape training such as heavy rain and strong winds at the Jeonbuk 119 Safety Experience Center in Imsil-gun. On the 11th, after breakfast, they plan to move to Seoul.
The county is making every effort to ensure that the members can participate in activities in a safe environment, including accommodations, meals, and cultural experience activities. The Imsil Police Station and Imsil Fire Station are also working together to maintain public order.
Governor Sim Min said, “While our foreign guests are in the county, we will wholeheartedly serve even a warm meal deliciously. We will do our best to ensure they have a joyful and healthy stay until the day they leave.”
