On the 9th, Sunchang-gun, Jeonbuk Province, announced that it held the "25th Sunchang-gun Branch President's Gateball Tournament" at the Sunchang Public Stadium Gateball Field.
The event was attended by about 150 people, including Choi Young-il, the governor of Sunchang-gun, Shin Jeong-i, chairman of the Sunchang-gun Council, and players and officials from 11 towns and townships.

Hosted by the Korea Senior Citizens Association Sunchang-gun Branch and supported by Sunchang-gun and the Sunchang Gateball Federation, this tournament was organized to promote seniors' participation in recreational sports and enhance their health through leisure activities.
Governor Choi Young-il said, "This tournament provided a great opportunity to once again feel the passion and vitality of our senior citizens," adding, "We will continue to prioritize the health and happiness of our seniors and spare no effort in supporting various events and activities."
Meanwhile, the Sunchang-gun Branch President's Gateball Tournament has been held for the 25th time this year and has received great response as a recreational sport that anyone, regardless of age or gender, can easily learn even in small spaces.
