7 Sites, 10 Participants, Implementation of Flower Path Creation Project and More
Yeongdeok-gun, Gyeongbuk Province, held a launch ceremony for the '2023 Second Half Local Community Job Project and Public Work Project' on the 8th at the Yeongdeok Culture and Sports Center Women's Hall to ensure a safe and successful second half public job project, and conducted safety training for participants of the project.
The local community job project and public work project provide jobs to promote employment stability and livelihood support for low-income and employment-vulnerable groups. Yeongdeok-gun selected 13 people in the first half of this year, and 6 for the local community job project and 4 for public work in the second half, implementing job projects for a total of 23 people this year.
The launch ceremony mainly included safety and health education for safe workplace operation and a general guide on working conditions and work rules. Participants will be assigned to various towns and townships for about four months to carry out projects such as flower road creation and riverside walking trail maintenance.
Lee Tae-ho, Director of the Job Economy Division, said, “Since many participants are elderly, we prioritize safety at the project sites. We will do our best to prepare customized jobs suitable for our region’s circumstances and accumulate experience so that the job projects genuinely help the lives of our residents.”
