Anyang City Appoints Members to the Public Activity Promotion Committee on the 8th

Anyang City in Gyeonggi Province appointed 15 Public Interest Activity Promotion Committee members to strengthen citizen autonomy and promote public interest activities.

On the 8th, Anyang City held an appointment ceremony for the Public Interest Activity Promotion Committee at the situation room on the 3rd floor of City Hall, attended by Mayor Choi Dae-ho of Anyang and 13 committee members, the city announced on the 9th.

The committee formation follows the "Ordinance on the Activation of Civil Society and Promotion of Public Interest Activities in Anyang City," which was promulgated in October last year.

Among the 15 appointed committee members, Anyang City recruited 8 members through an open call, forming the committee with members from various social sectors.

Starting next year, the committee will carry out various projects to actively promote public interest activities through education related to public interest activities.

Anyang City expects that the launch of this Public Interest Activity Promotion Committee, along with the Public-Private Cooperation Committee launched on the 24th of last month, will enrich the foundation for Anyang-style cooperative governance and public interest activities.

Mayor Choi Dae-ho of Anyang said, "With the launch of the new committee, we will be able to support various public interest activities in cooperation with the local community," adding, "Through the activities of the committee composed of members from all walks of life, we will present a systematic and efficient direction for supporting the activation of public interest activities in Anyang City."
