On the 9th, the Gyeongbuk Office of Education announced in advance the ‘2024 Academic Year Public Middle School Teacher Candidate Selection Competitive Examination’ through its website.
This advance notice aims to provide convenience to candidates preparing for the teacher appointment exam by informing them in advance of the approximate subjects to be selected and the expected number of recruits.
The number of public recruits is 166 across 25 subjects, including Health, Librarian, Professional Counseling, Nutrition, and Special (Middle School) subjects, with the number of recruits for persons with disabilities included.
The exam schedule will begin with the announcement of the implementation plan on October 4, followed by application submission from October 16 to October 20. The first exam will be held on November 25, the practical and experimental evaluation on January 17, 2024, and the second exam will take place over two days from January 23 to 24, 2024.
A representative from the Gyeongbuk Office of Education stated, “Since the advance notice content may differ from the official announcement due to future teacher quota adjustments and additional supply reasons, it is essential to check the exam implementation plan announcement scheduled for October 4.”
The Gyeongbuk Office of Education also provided an advance notice of the selection fields, number of recruits, and exam schedule for the ‘2024 Academic Year Public Kindergarten, Elementary School, and Special School (Kindergarten and Elementary) Teacher Candidate Selection Competitive Examination.’ This year, the total number of recruits is 312, which is a decrease of 100 (24.2%) compared to the previous year. The exam schedule includes application submission from October 2 to 6, the first exam on November 11, and the second exam from January 10 to 12, 2024.
