"Travel Consultation at Telecom Stores" LG Uplus × ModuTour Collaboration Store Launches

This MOU was pursued to increase mutual customer touchpoints and create synergy, such as developing exclusive Modetour travel products for U+, reflecting the recent surge in overseas travel. The two companies plan to open a Modetour collaboration store next month inside LG Uplus’s ‘Janghang-dong La Festa Store (Ilsandong-gu Directly Managed Store)’. Modetour will provide travel-related content necessary for the shop-in-shop store and will carry out customer attraction activities, including planning travel-related U+ exclusive events.

At the collaboration store, customers will be able to receive consultations not only for mobile phone activation and bill payments but also for travel package products and communication services such as roaming needed for overseas travel all at once. Another advantage is that customers can visit anytime to get travel-related information and consultations. Going forward, the two companies plan to expand the shop-in-shop stores nationwide and strengthen cooperation by developing travel package products combined with U+ roaming services.

Lee Jaewon, Head of LG Uplus MX Innovation Group, said, “More than 2,000 Uplus offline stores nationwide play an important role in providing diverse customer experiences beyond selling existing telecommunication products,” and added, “Based on this partnership, we will launch services that combine telecommunications and travel to provide various customer values and transform Uplus stores into places that bring enjoyable changes to customers’ daily lives.”
