Oh Jong-hoon, CEO of SK Energy, Joins Single-Use Item Reduction Challenge

SK Innovation announced on the 8th that Oh Jong-hoon, CEO of SK Energy, participated in the 'Single-Use Items Zero Challenge,' a campaign to reduce single-use items in daily life.


This campaign is an eco-friendly movement where participants make hand gestures representing the numbers 1 and 0, symbolizing a promise to reduce single-use items in everyday life, and then nominate the next participants. CEO Oh was nominated by Ryu Kyung-pyo, Chairman of Hanjin KAL, on the 26th of last month, and he nominated No Jin-seo, CEO of LX Holdings, and Lee Jong-ho, CEO of T Map Mobility, as the next participants.

SK Energy is exploring ways to reduce the use of single-use items at gas stations and charging stations. The membership service for customers, 'Muffin,' issues electronic receipts instead of paper receipts when paying for fuel or charging via the application, thereby reducing waste generation. Additionally, employees are encouraged to minimize unnecessary use of single-use items.


CEO Oh stated, "SK Innovation affiliates have been conducting small practical campaigns in daily life for a greener future Earth, actively encouraging all members to use mugs and tumblers instead of disposable cups. SK Energy members are also practicing actions to protect the global environment by using reusable cups and tumblers, and we will participate in the Single-Use Items Zero Challenge together."
