Eunpyeong-gu Achieves ‘Highest Grade’ in Joint Local Government Evaluation for Three Consecutive Years

Achieves S Grade in 2023 Autonomous District Evaluation, Secures 35 Million KRW Financial Incentive

Eunpyeong-gu (Mayor Kim Mi-kyung) achieved the highest grade, S grade, in the 2023 Joint Local Government Evaluation for the third consecutive year.

The ‘Joint Local Government Evaluation’ is a system in which the Ministry of the Interior and Safety and central administrative agencies evaluate the performance of nationwide common tasks carried out by local governments over the course of a year.

Based on the evaluation results from the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, Seoul City assessed the performance of 25 autonomous districts last year in areas such as delegated national tasks, national subsidy projects, and major national policies.

Eunpyeong-gu secured a financial incentive of 35 million KRW by achieving excellent results across 38 evaluation indicators for autonomous districts.

The district received outstanding evaluations in areas including ▲discovery and improvement of regulations proposed to central government ministries ▲priority purchase rate in socio-economic sectors ▲achievement of innovative procurement targets ▲priority purchase rate of new technology products ▲achievement rate of public employment services ▲conversion rate of irregular workers to regular positions ▲support performance of the Children's Meal Management Support Center ▲expansion of road nameplates ▲policy improvement rate in gender impact assessments ▲and self-reliance achievement of out-of-school youth.

Kim Mi-kyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, said, “Achieving excellent results for three consecutive years is the outcome of practicing proactive administration in line with national tasks,” adding, “We will continue to create ‘Tomorrow’s Center, Changing Eunpyeong’ based on outstanding administrative capabilities.”
