County Holds Meeting with Youth
Communication Including Various Opinions Presented
Lee Seunghwa, the governor of Sancheong County in Gyeongnam, has initiated communication efforts to manage county administration for the youth.
On the 7th, Sancheong County announced that it held a meeting with the 8th Youth Operating Committee of the Sancheong County Youth Training Center at the governor's office.
The meeting was organized to enhance youth participation awareness and to improve the effectiveness of the Youth Training Center and youth policies.
The meeting, held under the theme "Listening to Youth. Communicating Sancheong County," was attended by Governor Lee Seunghwa and 12 members of the Youth Operating Committee, 청정원 (Cheongjeongwon, Principles Determined by Youth).
During the meeting, the youth directly shared their opinions on the operation status and improvement plans of the Sancheong County Youth Training Center.
In particular, they engaged in in-depth discussions, proposing directions for county administration to make Sancheong a better place for youth to live.
They also presented 14 suggestions, including the establishment of a Youth Training Center website, and freely exchanged various thoughts on the living and cultural environment and policies for Sancheong County youth.
One youth said, "It is meaningful that the governor personally listens to and shows interest in the thoughts of young people. I would be happy if the opinions we proposed are reflected. I hope there will be continuous opportunities to communicate with youth in the future."
Governor Lee said, "I support the hopeful future of the youth, who are the future generation of Sancheong County. I will carefully listen to the voices of youth and thoroughly review the suggestions to strive for county administration that meets the perspectives of young people."
