Busan Port Authority (BPA) conducted a special safety inspection on the 4th around Busan Port North Port area to prepare for potential safety accidents caused by typhoons and adverse weather conditions.
The inspection team directly visited small vessel mooring sites during typhoon approach to check the safety measures of pier facilities and the mooring and securing status of vessels, ensuring no damage from heavy rain and high waves.
In addition, to prevent electric shock accidents that may occur due to disasters caused by strong winds and heavy rain as well as the humid environment, thorough on-site inspections and pre-checks without blind spots were conducted intensively to avoid facility damage and other harm.
Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, stated, “We will carry out thorough safety inspections to prepare for typhoons and adverse weather conditions and ensure the prevention of safety accidents for all citizens using the facilities.” He added, “We ask all managers and workers on site to pay close attention to safety to prevent any accidents.”
