Seongbuk-gu Office Employees Unite to Donate 16.95 Million KRW to Goesan County
Seoul Fashion Textile Sewing Association Donates 600 Clothing Items and Relief Supplies Including Ramen Worth 2 Million KRW
Seongbuk-gu (Mayor Lee Seung-ro) delivered donations and relief supplies to Goesan County on the 4th to aid flood recovery efforts. On the day, Mayor Lee Seung-ro visited Goesan County Office and met with Song In-hyun, the governor of Goesan County, to check on the flood recovery status and offer condolences.
Due to the heavy rainfalls in July, 13 areas nationwide, including Goesan County, were declared special disaster zones. Employees of Seongbuk-gu Office pooled their efforts to prepare a donation of 16.95 million KRW for the prompt flood recovery of their sister city, Goesan County, and delivered it to the Goesan County Office. Additionally, the Seoul Fashion Textile Sewing Association (President Yoo Ji-yong) donated 600 clothing items and ramen worth approximately 2 million KRW as relief supplies, adding further significance to the aid.
Mayor Lee Seung-ro of Seongbuk-gu said, “I hope this can be of some help to the residents of Chungbuk, including Goesan County, who are facing difficulties due to the sudden disaster,” and added, “I sincerely wish for the damage recovery to be completed quickly so that everyone can return to their daily lives as soon as possible.”
