Severance Hospital announced on the 4th that it has urgently dispatched a medical support team to the Saemangeum World Scout Jamboree, where heat-related illnesses are rapidly increasing.
The Severance medical support team, consisting of 18 members including team leader Professor Kim Moon-kyu from the Department of Pediatrics and Adolescents, doctors, nurses, and pharmacists, will stay on site until the 6th to provide emergency patient care. An ambulance capable of emergency transport has also been deployed in preparation for severe cases.
Ha Jong-won, director of Severance Hospital, said, "Severance Hospital has always established a medical support system to prepare for various disaster situations," adding, "This medical support team will respond immediately on site to ensure that youths from around the world can safely complete the event."
