Price Adjustment Due to Increased Raw Material and Other Related Costs
The price of Baskin-Robbins ice cream will increase by about 8% starting from the 4th. This is the first price hike in approximately 1 year and 6 months since February last year.
According to SPC on the 3rd, the price of a Baskin-Robbins single regular will rise from 3,500 won to 3,900 won, an increase of 11.4%. The single king will go up from 4,300 won to 4,700 won, a 9.3% increase, and the pint will increase from 8,900 won to 9,800 won, a 10.1% rise. The family size will increase from 24,000 won to 26,000 won, up 8.3%, and the half-gallon will rise from 29,000 won to 31,500 won, a 6.9% increase.
Previously, Baskin-Robbins and the store owners' council had been discussing the price increase. The store owners' council demanded measures to address potential declines in consumption due to the price hike, and the price increase was decided upon through agreement with Baskin-Robbins headquarters.
Baskin-Robbins stated, “Due to the unavoidable rise in raw material and other related costs, we have had to adjust product prices,” adding, “We will continue to repay our customers' love with even more delicious premium ice cream.”
