Develop Practical Skills Such as Discovering Business Items and Writing Business Plans
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) is recruiting students for the '2023 Social Economy and Youth Startup Academy' to revitalize the local social economy and discover entrepreneurs.
The education will be conducted face-to-face at the Jungnang-gu Social Economy Support Center from September 19 to November, and the tuition is free.
The main curriculum focuses on basic startup education, including ▲ understanding general startups, social ventures, and social economy startups ▲ discovering and concretizing business items ▲ explanation of government support projects ▲ writing business plans.
In particular, among the students, teams that write business plans will be selected as 'Basic Startup Education Candidates' based on the results of a mid-term evaluation. For those selected as 'Basic Startup Education Candidates,' classes will be provided to develop practical skills through ▲ establishing business models and concretizing projects ▲ one-on-one consulting ▲ support for pilot project expenses.
At the end of the education, programs such as a mock startup competition and social economy social forums will be held to provide networking opportunities with social economy enterprises in the district. Certificates will be issued to participants with an attendance rate of 80% or higher.
The district plans to meticulously manage follow-up support, including assisting participating companies and prospective entrepreneurs in applying for government startup support projects, so that various social economy actors in the region can continue to grow even after the education.
This academy targets up to 30 teams of entrepreneurs who are residents of Jungnang-gu, including youth and middle-aged individuals hoping to start a business, or organizations and corporations wishing to transition into social economy enterprises.
Those wishing to apply can access the recruitment page on the Jungnang-gu Social Economy Support Center website and fill out and submit the application form by September 1.
Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, said, “Through this education, we hope to lower the entry barriers to entrepreneurship for residents interested in starting social economy enterprises,” and added, “We will continue to spare no effort in discovering and nurturing capable entrepreneurs to create a healthy social economy ecosystem that leads to job creation and community development.”
