Village Enterprise 'Osan Yangjo' Raises 100 Million Won in Project Funds
Osan City in Gyeonggi Province announced on the 2nd that it has raised approximately 100 million KRW in project funds to promote the sales and marketing of Osan Brewing Co., Ltd., a local traditional liquor producer.
Osan Brewing is a village enterprise in the Osan area that manufactures distilled traditional rice soju called 'Doksanju' and 'Osan Makgeolli' made with Gyeonggi rice.
The city secured 57 million KRW, including 24 million KRW in national funds for the 'Visiting Brewery Project' and 33 million KRW in provincial funds for the 'Traditional Liquor and Local Community Revitalization Sales Promotion Project.' Separately, the city added 24 million KRW of municipal funds and 26 million KRW of Osan Brewing's self-funded project costs, raising a total of 107 million KRW for the project.
The raised funds will be used for ▲installing traditional liquor sales outlets ▲improving the manufacturing environment of traditional liquor facilities, including maintenance and replacement of outdated equipment. Additionally, the funds will be invested in ▲building a promotional system ▲producing promotional materials ▲and developing tourism products linked to the local area.
Lee Gwon-jae, Mayor of Osan City, said, "We hope this opportunity will expand the market for local traditional liquor and establish it as a distinguished specialty product of Osan."
