Itaein, Chairman of Dongdaemun-gu Council, Joins the 'Single-Use Items Zero Challenge'

Lee Tae-in, Chairman of the Dongdaemun District Council, participated in the 'Single-Use Products Zero Challenge' to reduce the use of disposable products. The 'Single-Use Products Zero Challenge' is a relay challenge initiated by the Ministry of Environment to raise awareness about the indiscriminate use of disposable products and to promote the habitual use of reusable products as a nationwide campaign to practice carbon neutrality.

Having been nominated by Chu Yoon-gu, Chairman of the Gwangjin District Council, Chairman Lee stated, “To pass on a clean world to future generations by reducing the use of disposable products in daily life, Dongdaemun District Council will take the lead in actively using reusable products such as tumblers and shopping bags to achieve zero disposable products.” He added, “We hope for the active interest and participation of the residents.”

Chairman Lee, along with a photo showing a hand gesture symbolizing 'Single-Use Products Zero,' nominated Choi Chi-hyo, Chairman of the Gangbuk District Council, as the next participant.
