Yongho Lee: "Yuseungmin and Ijunsuk Are the People Who Created the Yoon Government... They Also Have the Responsibility to Make It Successful"

Assemblyman Yeo, KBS Radio Interview
"Agree with the principle that we must work together"
"Lee Dong-gwan's media control? Public opinion also points to biased reporting issues"

Lee Yong-ho, a member of the People Power Party, expressed agreement with the opinion that former lawmaker Yoo Seung-min and former leader Lee Jun-seok should join forces ahead of next year's general election, stating, "I agree in principle that we should work together."

In an interview on June 2 with KBS Radio's 'Choi Kyung-young's Strongest Current Affairs,' Lee referred to Yoo and Lee as "the people who were on the same boat during the last presidential election and brought about the Yoon Seok-yeol administration."

He emphasized, "Although they have drifted apart for various reasons since then, as the people who brought about the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, all of them bear the responsibility to make this administration successful," adding, "That is a political responsibility."

He continued, "Rather than scattering with personal feelings, we should work together in principle, and to do so, there is a need for mutual acceptance and respect," adding, "The individuals involved also need to think of the people and make efforts for the success of the current administration to restore trust."

Regarding the controversy surrounding Lee Dong-gwan, the nominee for the Chairman of the Korea Communications Commission, who is accused of attempting to seize control of the broadcasting system, Lee said, "It is a matter to be judged through a hearing."

He added, "In fact, the public broadcasting and media environment is not in a situation that the public would see as impartial. There is a perception on one side that the playing field is quite tilted and biased reporting is more serious than expected," and "There is also public opinion that someone who can correct these issues is needed as the Chairman of the Communications Commission."
