HK Innoen announced on the 1st that it published a sustainability management report containing its ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) management strategy, key activities, and achievements throughout last year.
HK Innoen's "2022 Sustainability Management Report" was prepared according to international standard guidelines such as the "Sustainability Reporting Guidelines (GRI)" and the "Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB)" for the performance in each area of environment, society, and governance. It also received third-party verification from an independent verification agency to enhance its credibility.
In particular, starting this year, the company introduced a "Double Materiality" assessment, considering not only external environmental factors affecting the company's financial status but also the impact of corporate management activities on society and the environment.
HK Innoen set 10 key focus areas aligned with its ESG strategic directions called the "4Cs": Climate Action (business operations considering the environment), Collective Growth (growth considering the development of members), Community Impact (creating impact for local communities), and Compliance Management (strengthening risk management based on compliance). By adding two more focus areas compared to last year, the company explained that it is now able to manage ESG issues more thoroughly and disclose more detailed performance.
Kwok Dal-won, CEO of HK Innoen, said, "Our company achieved the highest grade 'AA' in the ESG evaluation for the first half of this year announced by the ESG rating agency Sustainvest, demonstrating leading ESG performance in the industry. We will strive to strengthen ESG management to create a sustainable future."
