Opening of 'Hwagok-dong Senior Plus Branch'
Small Business Support Program Also Established
Woori Bank announced on the 1st that it has opened its third 'Senior Plus Branch' for the elderly in Hwagok-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul.
The Senior Plus Branch is designed with rest areas such as Sarangchae and Woori Maru in addition to banking spaces, allowing elderly customers to conveniently use the bank.
The newly established 'Hwagok-dong Senior Plus Branch' differs from the first and second branches by also providing a separate community activity space for small business owners. Like the second branch, it will operate a 'Small Business Support Center.' It will offer financial product consultations as well as startup and small business management consulting services, and plans to run various programs in cooperation with Gangseo District Office and local public institutions.
A Woori Bank official stated, "Hwagok-dong in Seoul is an area with a high concentration of elderly residents, but it also has a local commercial district densely populated with traditional markets and small business owners. Therefore, we have prepared not only specialized financial services for the elderly but also various programs for small business owners. Through this, we aim to complete a community-cooperative bank branch."
