As a result of the pre-sale live broadcast of Samsung Electronics' Galaxy Z Flip and Fold5, the highest sales record for foldable phones was achieved.
Samsung Electronics conducted a pre-sale live broadcast of the Galaxy Z Flip and Fold5 on 'Samsung.com' for 1 hour and 40 minutes starting at midnight on the 1st.
During the broadcast, Samsung Electronics achieved the highest sales record in the history of foldable phones. This number is more than 1.9 times that of last year's Galaxy Z Flip and Fold4.
Since August 2021, starting with the Galaxy Z Flip and Fold3, Samsung Electronics has conducted live broadcasts on Samsung.com alongside pre-sales, and this was the third foldable live broadcast.
There were a total of three models for sale: the Galaxy Z Flip and Fold5 256GB models, and the Samsung.com exclusive Z Fold5 1TB model.
As a pre-sale benefit, Samsung Electronics offers customers who purchase the 256GB model an upgrade to the 512GB model. Therefore, the 512GB model is not available for pre-sale.
In sales on this day, the Z Flip5 and Fold5 accounted for 70% and 30% of sales, respectively.
For the Fold5 1TB, it accounted for 35% of total Fold5 sales, confirming a high consumer preference for large-capacity storage. Currently, Samsung Electronics is offering the 'Galaxy Watch6 44mm Bluetooth' model as a gift to customers who pre-purchase the Z Fold5 1TB.
