The main contents of the agreement include ▲ mutual cooperation to ensure residents' safety and traffic convenience in case of flooding and other disaster situations, ▲ cooperation in traffic control and enforcement during disaster situations, and ▲ cooperation to secure on-site movement routes during disaster response.
Mayor Lee Pil-hyung of Dongdaemun-gu said, “It is necessary for local community institutions to establish a close business cooperation system and respond jointly to ensure residents' safety. We will take the lead in proactive administration to maintain a safe living environment through prompt action in disaster situations.”
Dongdaemun-gu is making every effort to create a safe living environment by implementing various projects to minimize damage in case of wind and flood disasters, such as subscribing all residents to wind and flood insurance and operating a care officer system for flood-vulnerable households.
