According to the Jindo Council on the 31st, more than 50 members, including members of the Red Cross Volunteer Society from seven towns and townships, practiced warm neighborly love despite the hot and humid weather.
During the healthy summer event, members personally prepared samgyetang meal kits, including young radish kimchi and mung bean glutinous rice, and visited 130 underprivileged households to deliver them and check on their well-being.
Residents who received the health food said, "We sincerely thank the members who prepared the health food despite the hot weather," and added, "We will overcome the hot summer well by eating the health food."
A representative of the Korean Red Cross Jindo District Council said, "We hope everyone recovers their strength with the health food and stays healthy through the hot summer," and added, "We will continue to do our best to spread and promote a culture of sharing for our underprivileged neighbors."
