Spend 20,000 Won, Get 10,000 Won Back... Shinhan Card Supports Revitalization of Local Businesses

Agreement with Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation... Ongoing until the end of November

Shinhan Card is holding an event in collaboration with the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation, offering a 10,000 KRW cashback when customers spend over 20,000 KRW at small businesses and local merchants in neighborhood commercial districts.

On the 31st, Shinhan Card announced that it signed a business agreement for the "Neighborhood Commercial District Revitalization Promotion" on the 27th at the foundation’s headquarters in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The initiative aims to discover and support struggling and neglected commercial areas to enhance their competitiveness.

Through this agreement, the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation will identify lesser-known small commercial districts in each of the 25 autonomous districts of Seoul, and Shinhan Card will provide cashback coupons usable at approximately 5,000 affiliated stores within these 25 selected commercial districts.

Shinhan Card customers can download coupons from the ‘My Shop’ page within the ‘Shinhan Play’ application and receive a 10,000 KRW cashback when they spend over 20,000 KRW at affiliated stores in the designated commercial districts. The eligible commercial districts and affiliated stores can be checked on the My Shop page and the Seoul City Self-Employment Support Center website.

The event will run from the 1st of next month until the end of November, but may end early if the budget is exhausted.

Separately, Shinhan Card and the Seoul Credit Guarantee Foundation have agreed to continue supporting local small business growth through joint projects based on the expertise of both organizations.

A Shinhan Card representative said, "We hope that the support measures, based on data capabilities from our 30 million customer base, will help revitalize small businesses and neighborhood commercial districts even a little. Moving forward, we will do our best to promote win-win finance in connection with Shinhan Financial Group’s sustainable management strategy."
