Emart24 Holds Early August Special Sale... Full Effort to Tackle High Inflation

Emart24 announced on the 31st that it will hold an unprecedented discount event throughout August by carefully selecting 35 products with high customer purchase frequency to alleviate the burden of grocery prices.

According to Emart24, sales of promotional products such as ‘1+1’ and ‘2+1’ giveaways increased by 74% compared to last year over the past three months (May 1 to July 27). Sales of large-capacity laundry detergent (2L or more) with 1+1 offers jumped more than fivefold, while sales of insect repellent products (4.9 times), roll toilet paper (2.4 times), and kitchen detergent (2.2 times) that held 1+1 promotions also grew significantly.

This is interpreted as reflecting increased sensitivity to giveaway promotional products and discount events due to successive price hikes, as well as consumer psychology aimed at minimizing spending.

In line with this trend, Emart24 will hold an unprecedented discount event throughout August, offering deals equivalent to ‘virtually free’ or ‘half price.’ From August 1 to 15, a ‘1+1’ event will be held on 15 popular products, including popular beverages such as ‘Gatorade PET 600ml’ (2,100 KRW) and ‘Binggrae Ttaom 235ml’ (2,200 KRW), as well as healthy pleasure products like ‘Samlip Chicken Breast Bar 80g’ (2,500 KRW) and ‘CJ Chicken Breast Cube·Hot Bar 80g’ (2,900 KRW).

Throughout August, up to 50% discount benefits will be provided on 20 popular daily necessities. The promotional products include daily necessities such as ‘Pigeon Act’s Perfect Baking Soda 3L’ (50% discounted price 5,600 KRW), ‘Pigeon 2.1L Refill 1+1 Plan’ (30% discounted price 7,700 KRW), ‘Sprite 500ml 6-pack bundle’ (50% discounted price 6,000 KRW), ‘Harim Themisik Bibim Noodles 4-pack’ (50% discounted price 3,400 KRW), and ‘CJ Anshim Asak Bean Sprouts’ (35% discounted price 1,000 KRW), all prepared with the goal of offering the lowest prices in the industry.

Customers who want to receive a 5,000 KRW Emart24 gift certificate can do so by paying for the promotional products with a (Hyundai/Woori) card and scanning the Emart24 mobile app integrated barcode.
