On this day, President Kang Jun-seok visited the construction site together with the management of Dongwon Global Terminal Busan Co., Ltd., the operator of the West Container Terminal, to examine the construction progress as the completion date approaches and to assess safety management practices in various fields such as civil engineering, architecture, and electrical work where multiple trades are involved.

The West Container Terminal Phases 2-5 is Korea’s first fully automated terminal. President Kang is known to have focused on demonstrations of the AGV (Automated Guided Vehicle), a core piece of equipment for the automated terminal, and on identifying risk factors to ensure safe operation.

Through this inspection, BPA plans to thoroughly investigate any elements on site that could pose a risk of safety accidents and take proactive measures to prevent incidents. Additionally, BPA is dedicating efforts to construction management through weekly progress monitoring to meet the completion deadline.

Kang Jun-seok, President of BPA, stated, “At this stage before completion, we are prioritizing site safety and the stable operation of the advanced automated terminal at Phases 2-5,” adding, “Let us do our best to prevent safety accidents that may occur across the various trades where cutting-edge technologies are concentrated.”
