On Saturday the 29th, the scorching heat continued, and a heatwave advisory was issued nationwide. Due to strong sunlight, rising temperatures, and high humidity, the maximum apparent temperature is expected to rise to around 35 degrees Celsius in most areas across the country, making it very hot for the time being.
As of 8 a.m. that day, the temperatures in major regions were Seoul 28.0°C, Incheon 28.2°C, Suwon 28.5°C, Chuncheon 25.2°C, Gangneung 29.7°C, Cheongju 28.5°C, Daejeon 27.6°C, Jeonju 28.0°C, Gwangju 27.2°C, Jeju 29.5°C, Daegu 28.6°C, Busan 29.8°C, Ulsan 28.8°C, and Changwon 28.4°C. The forecasted daytime high temperatures ranged from 30 to 36 degrees Celsius.
Although there will be occasional clouds nationwide, unstable atmospheric conditions will cause scattered showers in some areas. Precipitation is forecasted to be 5 to 40 mm in Seoul and inland Gyeonggi, inland and mountainous Gangwon, inland Daejeon, Sejong, and Chungcheong, inland Jeonbuk, eastern inland Jeonnam, western inland Gyeongbuk, and northwestern inland Gyeongnam.
