G2 Power Obtains Nuclear KEPIC Certification... "Expecting Nuclear Power Plant Equipment Orders"

G2 Power announced on the 28th that it has obtained the Korea Electric Power Industry Code (KEPIC) nuclear quality assurance certification.

G2 Power acquired the nuclear quality assurance certification required by the Korea Electric Power Industry Code, specifically the nuclear electric sector (KEPIC-EN) certification. The scope of certification covers the "manufacture of Class 1 high-voltage and low-voltage switchgear and motor control panels" for nuclear power facilities.

The KEPIC certification is a system established to ensure the safety and reliability of power equipment used in nuclear power plants and other facilities.

The Korea Electric Power Industry Code (KEPIC) certification is a quality assurance qualification for nuclear power generation, design, manufacturing, and construction, issued when the Korea Electric Association’s Korea Electric Power Industry Code (KEPIC) standards are met.

A company representative stated, "Obtaining the KEPIC certification recognizes our technical capability to design and manufacture high-voltage and low-voltage switchgear and motor control panels that can be used in nuclear power plants, providing an opportunity to enter the nuclear electric equipment market that requires Q-class certification."

Q-class is awarded by Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power and represents the highest quality grade certification for items related to the construction and safety of power reactors that meet nuclear quality assurance requirements.

Kim Young-il, Chairman of G2 Power, said, "With the acquisition of the KEPIC certification, G2 Power is now able to provide safer and more advanced products to domestic and international customers in the nuclear power distribution market."
