Narasella Opens Wine Complex Cultural Space 'Dowoon'

A Total of 10 Floors... From Storage to Wine Shop and Wine Bar
Opening Celebration Featuring Napa Valley Red Blend 'Le Pandre'

Wine importer Narasella announced on the 28th that it will open a wine complex cultural space called ‘Dowoon (萄韻)’ in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul.

Narasella Opens Wine Complex Cultural Space 'Dowoon'

Dowoon is the first domestic wine complex cultural space established by Narasella with the goal of increasing accessibility to wine and expanding its cultural base. The name combines the two Chinese characters for grape (萄) and taste/harmony (韻), symbolizing a space where visitors can fully experience wine and focus on their personal preferences.

Spanning 435 pyeong (approximately 1,438 square meters) and consisting of a total of 10 floors from basement level 2 to the 7th floor and rooftop, Dowoon features a variety of spaces including a private wine storage, wine shop, halls for wine tastings and pairing classes, fine dining, and a wine bar. The basement 2 floor houses the ‘Dowoon Private Cellar’ where VIP customers can store their wines in optimal conditions, while basement 1 hosts the ‘Narasella Reserve’ directly operated store offering over 500 types of wines, premium sake, spirits, and other beverages from Narasella’s portfolio.

Spaces for wine education, tastings, and food pairing classes have also been prepared. The ‘Dowoon Hall’ on the 2nd floor can accommodate up to 40 people and is designed for wine education, tastings, and seminars. The 6th floor’s ‘Dowoon Space’ is a private area equipped with a cooking studio, where wine classes pairing wines with foods tailored to individual tastes are being prepared.

Additionally, the fine dining restaurant ‘Kori’ (located on the 4th and 5th floors) offers creatively interpreted menus using Korean ingredients paired with wine, and ‘Nightcap’ on the 7th floor, named after the drink taken before bedtime, serves Narasella’s wines, whiskeys, spirits, and special cocktails.

To commemorate the opening of Dowoon, Narasella is also launching its private brand (PB) wine ‘Repandre (r?pandre)’. Repandre is a Napa Valley red blend wine whose name means ‘to spread widely’ such as scent or rumor. It features aromas of cranberry and sage with flavors of cherry and cocoa powder harmonizing with smooth tannins. Only 2,400 bottles are produced annually, and it is available at Narasella Reserve and Nightcap within Dowoon.

Masungcheol Ma, chairman of Narasella, said, “Dowoon is the first domestic wine complex cultural space introduced by Narasella. We hope it becomes a place where anyone from wine beginners to enthusiasts can easily visit, experience wine, discover their personal preferences, and share stories.”
