Official Activities of University Student SNS Supporters Conclude ... A Total of 9 University Students Participated Over 4 Months

Following University Student Supporters, 13 Members Begin Activities as the 2nd Generation In-House Promotion Supporters ‘Metro Friends’



Seoul Metro 1st Generation University Student SNS Supporters Disbandment

Seoul Metro Corporation announced that it held a closing ceremony for the ‘1st Generation University Student SNS Supporters’ at 3 p.m. on the 26th, officially concluding the SNS supporters’ activities.


The corporation recruited the ‘1st Generation University Student SNS Supporters’ from current and returning students of universities in the metropolitan area operating SNS platforms starting March 2023, and official activities began in April.


Composed of nine university students, the ‘1st Generation University Student SNS Supporters’ continuously created fresh subway and corporation-related SNS content from the perspective of university students who are familiar with SNS and sensitive to the latest trends.


They produced monthly assignment-based content on themes such as ‘How to Use T-Luggage,’ ‘Summer Vacation Spots Accessible by Subway,’ and ‘Subway Etiquette,’ creating YouTube videos that were posted on the corporation’s official YouTube channel. Notably, the content titled ‘Secrets of Seoul Subway You Didn’t Know’ posted on the official YouTube channel received 287 likes and about 14,000 views, gaining popularity.



In connection with SNS content creation, offline activities were also conducted. They participated in promotional events such as the ‘Goyang International Flower Festival Corporation Promotion Booth’ and the ‘Ttota Pop-up Store,’ producing and posting content related to these offline activities.


At the closing ceremony, the supporters reviewed their four months of activities by summarizing achievements and sharing reflections, and held a session to award outstanding performers and present certificates of activity.


The corporation is strengthening its promotional network by organizing promotion supporters among its employees. On the 25th, the inauguration ceremony for the in-house promotion supporters ‘Metro Friends 2nd Generation’ was held.


After document screening and interviews, 13 members were finally selected for the ‘Metro Friends 2nd Generation,’ ranging from grade 4 assistant managers to grade 7 new employees. They will operate in four fields: in-house reporters/promotion models, in-house announcers, and field creators. The content they produce will be posted on the corporation’s official website and SNS.


Ma Hae-geun, Head of the Public Relations Office, said, “The content created by the university student SNS supporters provided a great opportunity to inform citizens about the corporation’s achievements and efforts,” adding, “Meanwhile, through the in-house promotion supporters Metro Friends 2nd Generation, we hope that useful information related to the subway will be widely promoted to citizens.”
