The Department of Counseling Psychology at Dongshin University conducted a 'Stalking Offender Counseling Treatment Program' on the 27th in a lecture room on the 4th floor of Building 3, Daejeong, in collaboration with the Jeonnam Provincial Police Agency.
About 20 counselors who hold Level 2 certifications from the Counseling Association or the Counseling Psychology Association, or who have obtained Level 2 Youth Counselor certification with more than two years of experience, were selected to receive counseling treatment training.
University professors, active police officers, and counseling psychology experts gave lectures on topics including ▲ Punishment and understanding of stalking crimes ▲ Understanding stalking crimes that counselors should know ▲ Application of stalking counseling cases.
On the 28th, lectures on ▲ Psychological profiling of stalkers ▲ Basic processes of offender counseling will be held.
Professor Park Eun-min of the Department of Counseling Psychology stated, “After precisely diagnosing the characteristics of stalking offenders, we will operate various counseling treatment programs to prevent recidivism and actively protect stalking victims through appropriate counseling treatment.”
