Korea Racing Authority Busan Yeonje Branch Donates Funds for Local Children and Seniors

The Korea Racing Authority Busan Yeonje Branch donated funds on the 13th for support projects for local children and vulnerable elderly.

The Yeonje Branch donated 3 million KRW to a horticultural therapy project aimed at alleviating social isolation and providing emotional stability for socially marginalized elderly, conducted by the Yeonje-gu Family Center, a social welfare facility.

The donated funds will be used to operate the horticultural therapy program "Farm Care," including activities such as topiary and terrarium, every week until August for 15 socially marginalized elderly residents aged 60 and above living in Yeonje-gu.

The event held at the Yeonje-gu Family Center was attended by officials from the Korea Racing Authority Yeonje Branch, Yeonje-gu Family Center, and elderly participants of the horticultural therapy program.

Additionally, the Busan Yeonje Branch supported the Dawon Regional Children's Center located in Yeonje-gu with cooling devices such as air conditioners and fans worth approximately 2.7 million KRW to assist children in need within the local community.

The Yeonje Branch has been steadily continuing donations every year, including donating 60 million KRW this year through a donation project contest for local job creation, revitalization of the local economy, strengthening social safety nets, and environmental protection.
