SESCO Adds Adorable Popular Emoticon 'Wing Wing Warning' for Distribution

- Limited quantity for new KakaoTalk channel users, sold out in 1 hour, additional issuance
- Using mosquito prevention solution character, cutely expressing 16 daily emotions

SESCO Adds Adorable Popular Emoticon 'Wing Wing Warning' for Distribution

Comprehensive environmental hygiene company CESCO (CEO Jeon Chan-hyuk) announced that it will distribute additional Wing Wing Warning emoticons to new official KakaoTalk friends on July 31.


On July 14, CESCO newly added its official KakaoTalk channel and distributed a limited quantity of Wing Wing Warning emoticons to users who subscribed. Thanks to the unique and cute mosquito character expressing emotions suitable for everyday use, KakaoTalk users' attention was drawn, and the entire distribution quantity was sold out within about an hour of release.


The Wing Wing Warning emoticons were expanded into 16 emoticons after the mosquito character, which first appeared in last summer’s promotion introducing CESCO’s mosquito prevention solutions such as mosquito repellents and insecticides, received positive consumer feedback. In particular, the mosquito character named ‘Wing Wing-i’ was named directly by consumers through a nickname event on CESCO’s Instagram.


The response within the community has also been enthusiastic. On portals and Instagram where the emoticon release news was shared, comments included, “If it’s a cute mosquito, I might get bitten because I feel friendly,” “CESCO’s promotion using mosquitoes is ingenious,” “Mosquitoes are annoying, but the character is so cute it’s frustrating,” and “It’s a shame I couldn’t get the emoticons because they sold out.”


CESCO decided to issue additional emoticons due to these consumer responses and plans to distribute more emoticons under the same conditions on the 31st.


A CESCO representative said, “We are proud that the emoticons created by CESCO have been loved as popular characters by consumers. Through this Wing Wing Warning emoticon event, users who newly added the CESCO KakaoTalk channel are being provided with a 5,000 KRW discount coupon for the CESCO Mall on the same day, and the same coupon benefits were given to existing users as well. We plan to continue various promotions through the KakaoTalk channel, so we ask for your steady interest and visits.”


Meanwhile, last year CESCO launched the mosquito repellent ‘CESCO MyLab Outdoor Mist.’ According to evaluation data from the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA), the ingredient has completed exposure tests on infants under six months old, making it suitable for protecting infants and pregnant women from mosquito-borne diseases such as malaria and Zika virus infection. When sprayed on limbs for 3 seconds, it repels mosquitoes for 5 hours and ticks for 3 hours.


Additionally, in May, CESCO released the water-based mosquito insecticide ‘CESCO MyLab Mosquito Aerosol Water Base,’ which offers a refreshing feel by reducing petroleum odor and stickiness.


CESCO’s mosquito repellents and insecticides are available for purchase on major online shopping malls including CESCO Mall, Naver Smart Store, Coupang, and SSG.
