A participant with a disability said, “Having such an event allows us to strengthen our camaraderie and encourage hope and courage as we live,” adding, “I am very grateful to the organizers for creating such a joyful and happy occasion.”
Deputy Governor Lee Min-sook stated, “We will strive to lead the creation of a truly welfare society where everyone lives together without discrimination,” and added, “We will continue to listen more closely to the voices of people with disabilities and provide high-quality welfare services so that they can become proud members of society without barriers.”
Meanwhile, the county operates a Life Mobility Support Center to enhance the welfare and mobility convenience of over 220 visually impaired individuals, and conducts programs such as Braille education, historical and cultural exploration, and mobility training.
