Huem&c Establishes Production Base in Vietnam... Full-Scale Entry into Overseas Markets

Hu M&C announced on the 26th that it recently held a contract signing ceremony for the establishment of a factory with Viglacera, a state-owned enterprise for industrial park development in Thai Binh Province, Vietnam. Prior to this, Hu M&C held a board meeting at the Huons Group headquarters in Pangyo, Seongnam, where it decided to establish a local factory in Vietnam.

To meet the growing demand for medical and cosmetic injections driven by aging populations, Hu M&C plans to invest approximately 2 billion KRW to establish a medical container production corporation in Thai Binh Province, Vietnam. The Vietnamese factory will cover an area of about 4,500 pyeong (approximately 14,876 square meters), and immediately after the corporation is established, it will invest in equipment to initially have the capacity to produce about 50 million vials, 80 million cartridges, and 50 million ampoules annually by 2025. If the Vietnamese factory is completed as planned, it will add production capacity equivalent to 60% of the current domestic production volume.

Hu M&C intends to expand production of medical containers such as vials, cartridges, and ampoules by building a manufacturing plant in Vietnam, which offers low labor costs and abundant workforce. In particular, Thai Binh Province, where the factory will be located, is an economic special zone near the Hai Phong port, which Hu M&C explains will enhance export competitiveness by reducing logistics costs.

Kim Jun-cheol, CEO of Hu M&C, stated, "By establishing a production factory in Vietnam, we plan not only to expand our domestic market share but also to actively enter overseas markets. If early stabilization is achieved, we are considering further expansion regardless of business areas."

Meanwhile, Hu M&C is a specialized company producing and supplying medical glass containers such as ampoules, vials, and cartridges, as well as a cosmetics packaging materials specialist that manufactures and exports cosmetic accessories including makeup sponges and puffs.
